SEASCAPE SERIES

The first series, « Seascapes » captures one of the most dynamic of all phenomena, the undulating surface of water. Radiating a strong sense of motion, frozen, a tangible moment fallen out of the fabric of time, each piece conveying a unique wave and varied amplitude. Travelling from a rippling stream to the coast of Brittany at 14 kknots of wind. This convincing effect of water is amplified when light is refracted from the brush polished aluminium, shifting as one moves around the piece. The creation of theses pièces was aided by the use of liquid algorithms and numeric command machines from which a model was generated and a mould made for the casting of the finished materiel.
